Terms of Service
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MAIA Decision OS ("MAIA," "the Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
These terms apply to all users of MAIA Decision OS, including users who access MAIA through Claude by Anthropic, through our website at maiaos.ai, or through any other integration or interface.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Description of Service
MAIA Decision OS is a governed decision rehearsal system. It connects to Claude by Anthropic via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and provides a structured, multi-stage analysis pipeline for complex organizational decisions.
The Service orchestrates 47 specialized agents through a 9-stage pipeline to produce dependency maps, cascade simulations, countermeasure designs, readiness assessments, and a viability verdict. The analysis is delivered as a conversation within Claude and as a downloadable Visual Intelligence Package.
MAIA is a decision analysis tool. It processes information you provide, applies structured analytical frameworks, and delivers findings for your consideration. It does not make decisions, execute transactions, or take action on your behalf.
Use of the Service
Permitted uses. MAIA is designed for organizational decision analysis including but not limited to: strategic planning, risk assessment, acquisition evaluation, market expansion analysis, restructuring assessment, vendor selection, capital allocation planning, and operational transformation analysis.
Prohibited uses. You may not use MAIA to: circumvent safety guardrails of Claude or any other AI system; generate content that violates Anthropic's Usage Policy; misrepresent MAIA's outputs as professional legal, financial, medical, or regulatory advice; use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or reconstruct MAIA's internal methodology, agent configurations, or pipeline logic; or resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its outputs without written permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms or uses the Service in a manner that is harmful, fraudulent, or disruptive.
Decision Responsibility
MAIA provides analysis and simulation only. All decisions are the sole responsibility of the Navigator (the person using the Service). MAIA does not provide legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, or any other form of professional advice.
MAIA's outputs — including viability verdicts, risk assessments, readiness scores, and countermeasure recommendations — are analytical tools designed to inform your judgment. They are not directives, guarantees, or professional opinions. You should consult qualified professionals before making material decisions based on any analysis.
MAIA does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any analysis. The quality of the output depends on the quality and completeness of the input you provide. MAIA will disclose uncertainty and data gaps, but the responsibility for acting on the analysis remains entirely with you.
Data and Privacy
MAIA does not store decision content. The rehearsal runs within the Claude conversation. When the session ends, no decision data is retained on MAIA's servers. For full details on data collection, use, and retention, see our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your own data privacy settings in Claude.ai. If you are on a Claude Free, Pro, or Max account, Anthropic's default setting may allow conversations to be used for model training. You can change this in Claude's Settings under Privacy. Claude Team, Enterprise, and API accounts are protected under Anthropic's commercial terms.
When you connect data sources (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar) through Claude's connector system, MAIA reads from those sources to enrich the analysis. MAIA does not write, modify, or delete any data in your connected accounts. You may revoke connector access at any time through Claude's settings.
Intellectual Property
The MAIA Decision OS methodology, pipeline architecture, agent configurations, governance framework, Visual Intelligence Package format, and all associated documentation are proprietary to MAIA Decision OS. All rights reserved.
You retain ownership of all decision content, documents, and data you provide to MAIA during a rehearsal. The analysis outputs generated by MAIA during your rehearsal — including the Decision Brief and Visual Intelligence Package — are licensed to you for your internal use.
You may share MAIA's outputs (Decision Brief, Visual Package) within your organization. You may not publicly redistribute, resell, or use MAIA's outputs to create a competing service.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAIA DECISION OS AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
MAIA's analysis is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of California.
